WASHINGTON (April 24, 2024)聽鈥 Today, the National Cattlemen鈥檚 Beef Association (NCBA) announced that applications are now open for two internships that give students an opportunity to support the cattle industry and gain valuable experience. The programs include a聽聽and a聽.
鈥淚nterning at NCBA is a great way to start your career and the work you do will have a positive impact on America鈥檚 hardworking farmers and ranchers,鈥 said NCBA Vice President Gene Copenhaver, a Virginia cattle producer. 鈥淎s a longtime member of NCBA, I know how important the work of this association is. The public policy internship, based in Washington, D.C., is held in conjunction with the Public Lands Council and gives students an opportunity to learn about government relations and advocacy on behalf of the cattle industry. Public policy interns support NCBA鈥檚 Government Affairs team and assist in representing cattle producers in our nation鈥檚 capital.
The meetings and events internship, based in Denver, CO, provides students with the chance to learn about managing large events like NCBA鈥檚 annual convention and summer business meeting. Meetings and events interns learn about event marketing, registration, sponsorship sales, supplier relations, and overall event production.
Both internship applications are now open and available on the careers page of聽. Internships begin in August 2024 and end in December 2024. Applications are due by May 31, 2024.
